Centre Best Performance will be awarded when the performance of an athlete equals or betters an existing Hills LAC record.
Centre Best Performances can be achieved at programmed Hills LAC meets. The performance requires at least one Club Official to verify the result during competition. To verify the result, the Club Official must:

- Witness the performance.
- If not present for the performance, a Club Official can be requested to witness the athlete perform 2 additional attempts in order to set the record.
- Confirm the attempt is valid according to the SALAA rules and regulations.
- Checked the measurement of the performance in line with SALAA rules and regulations. For High Jump, this includes checking the bar height and gap between the bar of the posts.
- For track events, the Club Official has started the race.

Centre Best Performances will be accepted when recorded at SALAA, LAA and inter-club competitions.
Centre Best Performances will NOT be accepted when:

- Athlete is not registered and financial with SALAA as a Hills LAC athlete
- Performed at another Little Athletics club's meet.
- Performed by athletes not competing in their own age group.

Centre Best Performances are NOT recorded for:

- Cross Country and Race Walking events.
- Multi-Event Competition totals.
- Tiny Tots events.
- Vortex events.
- Mini hurdles and high jump events for u6 - u7 age groups.
- Events not listed as eligible events for the Age Group by SALAA.

When a Centre Best Record is equaled or broken by 2 athletes in the same event, both athletes will be awarded as achieving a Centre Best Performances; the athlete with the best result will be recognised as the record holder.
Centre Best Performances are awarded at the discretion of the Hills LAC committee.
Disputes regarding "records" are to be made in writing and addressed to the Hills LAC Committee for discussion and resolution. e: info@hlac.org.au
